      Heute gab es von SP nochmal die offizielle Presseankündigung.



      SouthPeak announced today that it has pinned a new deal to the mat to publish games based on the popular professional wrestling brand Total Nonstop Action and its flagship weekly television program TNA iMPACT!. The new game, TNA iMPACT!: Cross the Line, will be available for the PSP and DS later this winter.

      “Their unique take on professional wrestling has captivated a continually growing fan base of millions of people across the world,” said Richard Iggo, VP of Marketing for SouthPeak. “We look forward to giving those fans the opportunity to go head to head with all their favorite TNA superstars on the go, on either the PSP system or Nintendo DS.”

      “We are very excited to partner with SouthPeak to release these games for the handheld systems,” said Steve Allison, Chief Marketing Officer for TNA Entertainment. “They have a great team that instantly impressed us with their passion and determination to work with us on these titles.”

      Through an agreement with TNA, SouthPeak now has the rights to publish the handheld titles that were in development by Midway Games. TNA iMPACT! Cross the Line features the organization’s signature six-sided ring, wrestlers old and new for players to grapple with, action in and outside of the ring, wireless head to head play and much more. It is scheduled for release later this winter.

    • Naja habe mich heute mal nach Game Infos umgeschaut und folgendes auf der offizielen Homepage entdeckt:

      Auf der Seite werden auch eben diese Screenshots gezeigt, was wiederum bestätigt, dass sie kein Fake sind.

      Auserdem soll es ja auch Kommentatoren geben (siehe fett gedruckt) was wiederum ein Debut auf der PSP wäre, bei der SvR Serie gab es das ja auch noch nicht.

      Und das Cover hat echt was:

      Könnte langsam etwas Abwechslung vom verbuggten SvR 2010 vertragen.

    • Also es handelt sich bei dem Spiel NICHT um eine Fortsetzung!
      Das Spiel wird 1 zu 1 von der PS2 übernommen. Das einzig neue ist, dass das Spiel logischerweis schlechter aussieht, CC weg ist und durch 3 Wrestler ersetzt wurde: Mick Foley, Lashley & Morgen.

    • Falsch. Ich muss den Link nochmal raussuchen. Das ist eine Beschreibung zu dem Spiel, mit dem Verweis auf die Sendung.

      In fast jedem Artikel wurde schon Mick Foley angekündigt. Ist ja klar, man braucht ja auch einen CC ersatz. Und Morgen sowie Lashley tauchen auch immer wieder auf.

      Auf IGN kann man sich bewegte Bilder anschauen und das Spiel ist nun die Handheld Version von TNA: Impact. War wohl schon fertig aber durch den Wegfall von Midway hat das nun etwas gedauert.

    • Klar ist das von dir oben gepostete nur Werbung für die Sendung auf Spike TV, wieso sollte da auch sonst der Sender erwähnt werden? Weiterhin werden die Knockouts aufgelistet, die NICHT im Spiel enthalten sind.

    • Wenn ich mir das so durch den Kopf gehen lasse, ist es eigentlich keine gute Idee dieses Spiel zu veröffentlichen. Es kann eh nicht mit SvR konkurrieren, ausserdem hat sich zuviel in der TNA getan, als dass so ein veraltetes Spiel noch Sinn machen würde.

      Besser wäre es, sie würden es einstampfen und nächstes Jahr eine neue TNA-Reihe für alle Konsolen realisieren. Diesmal mit dem Fokus auf wirkliche Qualität, anstelle des Hochgeschwindigkeits-Arcade-Klopper Konzeptes.

      Eigentlich hat mich das Spiel TNA iMPACT für die PS3 enttäuscht, aber für die 10€ die ich dafür ausgegeben habe (neu) hat es gereicht.
      Nichts desto trotz werde ich mit Cross On Line für die PSP kaufen, wenn es mal billiger wird!
